About the Joint Venture
Bayou Bend CCS LLC (Bayou Bend) is a joint venture owned by Chevron, Equinor and TotalEnergies to develop a carbon dioxide transportation and storage facility in Southeast Texas. With approximately 40,000 onshore acres and roughly 100,000 offshore acres for carbon dioxide storage, the project has the potential to lower the carbon intensity of regional industrial facilities by storing CO2 safely and permanently underground. In 2024, onshore and offshore stratigraphic wells were drilled to delineate CO2 storage potential.
